These brand new 5 US Gallon, sixth barrel kegs are made entirely of food/beverage grade AISI 304 stainless steel. They come with a Sanke "D" System drop-in valve already installed. They have fully rolled top and bottom stainless steel chimes. All seams have been TIG machine welded for smooth and consistent seams with no burn residue. All surfaces of the keg have been chemically descaled (pickled) and fully passivated to ensure a clean, sanitary and corrosive free surface. These kegs are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2000 certified facility and are produced to the highest standards of quality and workmanship required for a food and beverage grade storage vessel. Used by breweries all over the world, these kegs are an excellent choice for your professional brewery operation.

Please Note: Commercial kegs are intended to be used by professional breweries that have the specialized equipment to properly clean and sanitize these style kegs. These kegs are not recommended for use by home brewers who want to dispense beer using a commercial keg. There is no way to effectively clean and sanitize them without specialized equipment. We will not accept returns on these kegs purchased for home or personal use. Drop-in style valves are installed by dropping the valve into the key-way notches located near the upper edge of the keg neck. Once in place a stainless, spiral, two-layer thick, retaining ring is installed into the upper groove of the keg neck. This holds the valve in position and prevents tampering. Drop-in valves require a specific o-rings (not lathe-cut gaskets) according to the valve design model.

Perfect for homebrewing

I bought this keg for homebrewing. Most people use the ball lock kegs but these are much better. Removing and re-installing the drop in D lock is relatively easy after your first few times.

This hooks directly to my standard kegerator with a sankey tap. You can now take your homebrew to friends houses (that have kegerators) without having to bring a ball lock tap.

Ordered on a Thursday morning, it arrived at my house by Monday. Keg is new, clean, dent free, and holds pressure.

This keg has worked perfectly with my kegerator system. I can now go to my favorite local micro brew and come home with my favorite beer. I drop it off, they clean it and fill it. This keg fits in the fridge with no issues and has a standard coupler that works flawlessly. I highly recommend this keg for anyone who wants some beer in smaller quantities, rather than having to finish off a 15 gallon before switching to another favorite.

I am looking for 5 gallon reusable sanke d keg and you mention this is refillable. What is the process for consumer to refill with craft cocktails and properly clean these kegs? or do you suggest a different keg type?

These kegs are refillable, but commercial kegs are most often cleaned with heavy duty/specialty equipment, and that process will vary depending on who's using the kegs. I would strongly recommend ball-lock kegs for kegging cocktails because they can be opened, cleaned, filled, and resealed without any additional equipment.
