This cap fits into the top of the tower as opposed to fitting around the outside of the top of your tower. It's chrome finish will match polished towers. It is compatible with 3" Diameter towers.

I am looking to remove my tap tower and cap the hole. Will this work for that, or is there a different part?

Unfortuantely no, thats the cap for the tower. If you call in and ask for a kegerator plug we have them for new units, we can source one for you.
