10 Gallon Cooler Mash Tun

This 10 gallon Igloo cooler is paired with a kettle screen, a 1/2" ball valve, and a weldless bulkhead in order to make a durable, yet inexpensive, mash tun. One of the most important pieces equipment in a brewery is the mash tun. A mash tun is where a brewer steeps grain with hot water to produce a sugary liquid that will eventually become beer.

Mash needs to be at held at a constant temperature for a period of time, usually an hour, when working with grains that produce fermentable sugars. An all-grain setup can be a tricky task when dealing with larger volumes but this mash tun aids home brewers in keeping the heat inside rather than pulling it from the outside.

The Igloo cooler comes with gallons marked on the inside liner for easy measurement of water and grains.
