The Allavino FlexCount II Series VSWR172-2SR20 Dual Zone Wine Refrigerator with Tru-Vino Technology features a convenient 24" wide cabinet that can be used as a stylish freestanding unit or built into your cabinetry for seamless wine storage.

Protect and preserve your wine collection with the latest innovation in wine storage technology by Allavino. Precisely set your desired temperature with the easy-to-use digital control panel and trust in Tru-Vino Temperature Control Technology to protect your collection through consistent temperature maintenance.

Allavino's exclusive FlexCount wine racking technology cradles bottles and is designed with vibration-reduction technology to protect aging wines. This unique shelving design allows for ultimate flexibility and versatility when it comes to storing a variety of bottle sizes and shapes. Easy gliding shelves allow for easy access to your collection without disrupting the delicate wine maturation process.

172 Bottle Capacity with 2 Cooling Zones

The VSWR172-2SR20 features 12 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each and 2 shelves that can hold up to 20 bottles each for a maximum bottle capacity of 172 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles. Store both red and white wines with this dual zone unit, which features a digital display with easy-to-use push button controls that allow you to easily adjust each zone's temperature.

Tru-Vino Temperature Control Technology

A clear digital display with user friendly push button controls makes setting and monitoring the temperature quick and easy. Once the ideal temperature is set, exclusive temperature control technology maintains temperature with near zero temperature fluctuations.

FlexCount Innovative New Shelf Design

Allavino is at the leading edge of shelf design, incorporating revolutionary metal shelves that are strong enough to hold bottles without sagging, yet thin enough to maximize the available space in the cabinet for wine storage. Wood slats refine each shelf and gently cradle each bottle to prevent harmful vibration from affecting your wine. Each shelf is finished with a stylish stainless steel front to match the door frame. Each of the shelves glide out smoothly on ball bearing tracks, so every bottle is easily accessible.

Store More Bottle Sizes

The intelligent design of the shelves creates more space between each shelf, allowing you to store bottles with varying diameters without having to remove racks which would reduce your overall capacity. Click on the Features tab above to see how your specific collection can be stored on the FlexCount shelves.

Built-In Design

This unit is front-venting, and can be built in to your cabinetry for a seamless look. It also has finished sides and top, allowing you to use it as a freestanding unit that will look great in any room of your home. A built-in security lock protects your collection, and two keys are included so that you can always have a backup on hand.

Fan-Forced Cooling

Internal fans circulate air inside the unit, reducing initial cool down time and preventing drastic temperature fluctuations that could be harmful to your wine.

Good unit, maybe not for expensive wines
Patrick

This is our first large capacity wine cooler and are so far pleased with it after 5 days of use. The shelves are good and solid, and allow for easy placement of varying bottle sizes. Some of the real larger ones, I have turned the labels toward the sides as they do just barely scrap the shelf above.
The unit is placed in our Dining room where our old 30 bottle unit sat. It is fairly quiet, but louder than the old unit when the fan kicks on. We have an open floor plan from the Dining room to the Living room, so I do hear it running, but it's not annoying.
I would say though, that if you have expensive bottles that need to be kept at a steady temp, then this unit may not be for you. I have noticed some, what I consider to be, large temperature swings. I have seen the temp display ready 50 degrees and then 55 10 minutes latter. It dose seem to keep a steady temp of 53 which is where I want it. To keep the red wine temp, the lower section, set to 53, I have to set the thermostat to 51. Since you have to have at least a 9 degree temp difference between the upper and lower section, the upper section for our white wine is cooler than what I originally set it for.
So far, I am happy with it with my simple wine tastes.

Good but could be a little better.
Rex

The cooler is very nice. Well made, and the shelves slide very easy with almost no labels rubbing. The temperature isn't as stable as I would hope. The cooler seems to fluctuate sometimes up to 5 degrees and that isn’t good in my opinion. I have 125 bottles inside so it should be more stable but I see on the cooler WHITE side 5 degree fluctuation and the RED side only about 3 degrees change. The compressor seems to be quiet but you know when it is running, it isn’t loud but you can hear some fan noise. I have had this unit only 2 weeks but so far it seems ok.

A Beautiful Peice of Functional Furnitur
Bob

product cools precisely. I've put a thermocoupler in both zones and it reads less than 1 degree variance. The shelves slide in and out with ease and don't bow or sag when all the way out and fully loaded. The only small minuses are that it is a bit louder than what I read in reviews. I read "whisper quiet" and other such remarks. It is not loud, but it is a little louder than my home refrigerator. It is beautiful, well crafted and comes very well packed and it performs beyond expectation. I'll keep it forever!

I bought 2
Debra

The product is very nice. The only thing is it doesn’t hold 170 bottles if you have anything other than the skinny 750 ml bottles. Also, if you buy call and ask for a discount. They don’t advertise it but will usually give you one. Also, the tempeture fluctuates a little but it’s with the range so it fine for me. If your really particular this might not be the wine fridge for you.

Great wine cellar!
DannyThe Wine-0

I had another dual zone for 10 years and the compressor died. I replaced it with this dual zone based upon the features.
Pros:
It keeps wines cool to cold.
The space usage is great; if bottles don't fit on one shelf, it will on another.
Instructions on how to place the bottles are helpful.
Blue light is soft to the eyes.
The shelves move out slowly.
More space for odd-shaped wine bottles than other units.
The noise isn't too much when running (in the finished basement)
The towel handle was defective but it was replaced quickly by Beverage Factory.

Cons:
It does run loud when keeping cool, but it's not running all day.
The curved handle doesn't quite match the finish of the product, but few would notice it (but I do because I like things to be pretty perfect).
The towel handle was defective but was replaced. The "bushings" in the instructions didn't fit either.
The instructions for installation weren't helpful, and that's probably how the "bushings" didn't fit; maybe they weren't needed.
Got White Glove service; that didn't include putting the handle on.

In short, the cons are really small, but they may be significant for you.

Right now, I'm pleased with the product, service, and price and the features really outweigh the cons.

Question:
Will they put it in the house or only the garage?
by Kate on January 21, 2019
Answer:
The delivery would be to the front door or to the front of the garage. If you would like the unit brought inside, we can provide you with a white glove delivery quote. That would include inside delivery and removal of the packaging debris.

Question:
I'm assuming top zone is white and bottom is red. What is the capacity of each zone?
by SMOKYHILL on May 10, 2019
Answer:
It depends on the type of bottle.

Wine Racks
This wine cellar has 10 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each, 2 shelves that can hold 20 bottles each, and a top shelf that can hold up to 27 bottles for a maximum bottle capacity of 177 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles, making this the ideal unit for diverse wine collections.

Allavino FlexCount Series Wine Refrigerators

Standard 750 mL bottle configuration

This is the standard 750 mL bottle, which most wine refrigerators are configured around as it is the most popular size on the market. It measures 11-1/2" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 7-3/4" to 8-1/2". This wine cellar has 12 shelves that can each hold up to 11 of these bottles and 2 shelves that can each hold up to 20 bottles for a maximum bottle capacity of 172 bottles

Tall bottle configuration

This bottle is taller than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 12-1/16" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 8" to 9". The taller shoulder and top would normally wreak havoc on your wine storage because the necks would touch, making the overall length of the bottles too tall for most shelves or pushing the outside bottles out, causing them to hit the sides of the wine refrigerator. Generally, you would have to remove a shelf to accommodate these bottles, but with the extra space available on these shelves, they fit just fine and do not affect the overall capacity.

Wide Shoulder bottle configuration

This bottle has the same diameter at the base, but the shoulder is wider, which would generally push it out of the grooves and make it rub on the shelf above. It measures 11-7/8" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter at the base and the shoulder tapers up from 7-1/2" to 8-1/4" with a 3-1/16" diameter. Due to the smart spacing on these shelves, these bottles fit with room to spare, preventing rubbing and allowing the maximum bottle capacity to stay the same.

Wide bottle configuration

This bottle is wider and shorter than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 10-5/8" tall with a 3-1/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8". Bottles this wide don't usually fit in wine refrigerators and if they do, they have issues with rubbing on the shelf above and scuffing your labels. This wine refrigerator has no issues with this type of bottle so once again, your maximum capacity will not be affected if you have them in your collection.

Pinot bottle configuration

Until now, you wouldn't dream of fitting a Pinot bottle in a wine refrigerator without removing wine racks and drastically reducing the overall capacity. It measures 11-5/8" tall with a whopping 3-1/2" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8-1/4". On this model, you can fit 6 Pinot Bottles on the bottom shelf, 11 bottles on the lowest spaced shelf and 20 bottles each on the upper spaced shelf and the top shelf for a total of 57 Pinot bottles without having to remove a rack. Even with 57 Pinot bottles, you still have a capacity of 156 bottles.

Champagne bottles
You can even store Champagne bottles without having to remove a wine rack! They measures 12-1/4" tall with a 3-3/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 7-3/4". This wine refrigerator will store 6 Champagne bottles on the bottom shelf and 8 on both the spaced shelves and top shelf for a total of 30 Champagne bottles and an overall capacity of 129 wine bottles.

Mixed bottle configuration

Perhaps there are people out there that only drink one type of wine, all the time. Most wine connoisseurs with a diverse palate are going to have varying bottle sizes in their collection, so having the ability to store all those varying bottle sizes without having to reconfigure and reduce your storage makes this the wine refrigerator of choice.
