This Allavino YHWR174-1SWRN seemed like the best cooler value for our collection of 120 wines (almost all reds). It's a good looking unit that mostly fills our expectations.

Ordering was easy. Shipping was "challenging" -- paid extra for "white glove" -- after 10 days delay, the first guy shows up and wanted to drop it off in the driveway -- NO -- another 10 days pass -- second guy shows up and carted it in with no problem. It was in good condition and set-up went well.

CAPACITY: Claimed 174 bottles is not possible if you have a lot of Cabs. Maybe Pinots and Cabs mixed. The taller shoulders on Cab bottles make it impossible to place them alternating in the racks. We weren't able to organize our collection as we'd like to and ended up putting bottles wherever they would fit.

NOISE: Runs noisier than expected -- about 35 dB, vs. 30 dB for our refrigerator. FWIW, that's 50% louder.

COOLING: Cools as expected. However, the built-in thermometer registers 2-to-4 degrees warmer than a calibrated thermometer that I placed inside (mid-level). Adjust temperatures accordingly.

OTHER: The blue led lights are useless. You have to press a button to turn them on, and they don't offer enough light to actually see the bottles. The lights also turn off automatically after about 3 minutes -- there's no way to adjust this time, so you can't turn them on for a "mood".

I'd recommend with reservations.

I bought one early in 2019. Was so pleased with it that I just bought another. Looks great, keeps steady at temp selected, quiet.

I needed to replace a much larger unit that I chose to leave behind at my last place. I have almost 200 bottles and this unit holds 174 of them. I really like the shelf units as they pull out far enough to see the rear storage. The unit came fully assembled and was handled very well. It came VERY fast as well. Thanks Bev Factory

Really a great Wine Cooler. Runs loud when you first plug it but once it gets going it runs really quiet. Unit looks great and built solid. The shelves pull out farther than a lot of the coolers on the market and the wood shelves look great.

We have had it for about 1 month (purchased in April 2018) and we love it. We would definitely buy it again and highly recommend it - especially in that price range.

This is the third FlexCount Classic Series 174 that I have purchased. My cellar is full so as I expand my wine bank, I rely on this wine fridge. It looks great, holds 174 bottles and is great value. I highly recommend it.

I got this fridge last year and I wish I had gotten it sooner. The telescoping shelves are a must! It's much quieter than the other ones I have bought in the past. Fat bottles are a a little bit of a pain, but I blame the wine manufacturers for that. You can put them on the bottom and top shelves anyway.

It was nerve-wracking researching large wine coolers because of their size, weight, and price. The Flexcount 174 is exactly what the description says it is and the reviews are fairly accurate.
The wine cooler arrived as promised and after fitting it into the space in our kitchen, we started to load the cooler with wine bottles. The shelves are huge and easily hold most sized bottles and the upper and lower racks are perfect for stacking.
The temperature does remain constant +/- 1 degree but the digital readout says it warms and cools +/- 2 degrees from the setting. Not a big deal because it doesn't affect the wine.
The blue light that illuminates the inside is nice but it's on a timer and shuts off after 1 minute. Not a big deal but it would be nice if we could keep it longer and shut it off manually.
Customer service was excellent with an issue I had with the door handle and they immediately shipped me a new handle with no questions asked.
The look is sleek and the wood shelves adds a little sophistication. I highly recommend this product and you won't be disappointed

I bought this based on the high quality racks that were advertised. This is indeed the case. The racking system works well for a variety of different bottle sizes. The wood trays work well and the ball bearing slides work well. Shelves are placed at several different increments, so that some larger 750mL bottles only fit in certain spots, but that is fine. 2 complaints: 1) it is noisier then I expected. It is louder then an ordinary refrigerator. 2) The temperature seems to fluctuate a bit. I set it to 60, but it often reads 58 or 59. Did not measure temp, but does not seem right.

I've been meaning to write a review for a few months now, since we're very happy with our unit.

We purchased this wine refrigerator over a year ago as a "scratch & dent" special, but found no scratches and no dents on ours so it looks great. Delivery was prompt and on-time.

The unit is attractive, well-made and maintains a constant temperature; I keep a calibrated wireless thermometer in it and the temp hasn't varied more than two degrees!

We have a variety of bottle sizes and even the larger ones fit reasonably well. Although some wide Pinot and Syrah bottles might scrape against the shelf above them a bit, face it, how often do you pull the shelves out? Not a big deal if I have to be a bit more careful with those. There is a slightly taller shelf about halfway down that you can dedicate to larger bottles, and the top and bottom shelves will hold two rows of bottles -- although the top shelf sags slightly from the weight, again it's not a major issue. By carefully arranging our various bottle sizes on the shelves we're probably close to the 174 bottle capacity.

Ours is free-standing in our dining area. It's not that much louder than our refrigerator, and since the TV or stereo is usually on when we're home we don't hear it. I did notice that our electric bill went up by about $8-$9 per month after we bought it, but it IS like having another refrigerator in our home so that's to be expected. Since it currently holds over $8,000 worth of wine, that's a small price to pay to keep our bottles in optimum conditions!

We've been very satisfied with our unit. The quality is comparable to other units that cost more, and our wine is now stored more properly than just sitting on a rack in our dining area.
