I did a lot of research looking around for a great wine cooler. I have many daily drinkers but also a lot of high value wines like the 2005 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 2003 Chateau Montelena Estate, 2009 Bevan Estate and such. While they aren't the ultra high end, they are valuable to me and having the right wine cooler was important. My last wine coolers didn't do a great job of keeping temperatures consistent. These Allavino dual zone are excellent. They arrived extremely well packaged. Each unit is individually packed with dense Styrofoam and thick corrugated box. It took some effort to actually unwrap this wine cooler I was a little skeptical if it would arrive safely. It certainly did. The construction is very well done and a really beautiful unit. I wasn't sure about the 134-bottle claim, but the gliding shelves actually have the capacity to store my wife's prosecco and the large pinot noir bottles. The different color choice and brightness are a great touch. Definitely follow the instructions, which are very explicit on how to start up, get to temperature and handle. I plugged them in and let them cool down all night, then loaded the bottles. I'd give it 5 stars, except the shelving is slightly difficult to pull out. If it could be just a minor pull and the shelving slides out, I'd give it a 5. But you have to pull a little harder than what I think a $3,500 wine cooler should require. I'd actually give this Allavino 4.75 stars. It is definitely worth the investment for storing your wines. I love the dual door design, which is what I wanted. This is a great wine cooler!
