Have only had it for a week, but it is very quiet, looks really nice with the slim factor and looks like a high end unit. The light does not light up the bottles but that is fine, its more of ambience/background light. We like how the shelves hold the bottle sideways so you can see the labels rather than the ends. It fits all size bottles (including champagne) with no issues or scratching, 5 bottles per shelf, at the default setting. The shelves did include a rubber bumper/lock when pushed fully in that creates a sticking/lock point when you pull it out, which you need to jerk it a little, we removed the rubber bumpers/locks in the back of the drawer slide and the shelf slides out better/smooth now - does not stick/jerk after removal and slides out nicely - and the shelves do stay in without them. Also prepare to attach it to a wall as it stabilizes it as it is not have the depth as a larger unit. We did not get the expensive white glove services which was a mistake, although a smaller unit, was very heavy - need a dolly and is a two person job. We had to hire task rabbit to help move it to our basement, which was cheaper but less peace of mind. We are ordering an additional unit with the opposite hinge. The unit does come with parts to switch the hinge to the opposite side, but seems like it can be a hassle to do so.
